Zipper Sweater Light

The Zipper Sweater Light is knitted top-down in one piece. The neckband is worked in ribbing, folded double, and knitted to the inside. The yoke is shaped with raglan increases, first worked back and forth on a circular needle to create an opening for the zipper, then in the round on a circular needle. The body and sleeves are worked in the round. The back facing of the zipper is knitted from picked-up stitches at the end, so that the zipper looks neat on the inside after it has been sewn in. The zipper itself is sewn in last between two layers of knitting – by hand or machine.

Size Guide

The Zipper Sweater Light is designed to have approx. 20 cm (8 inches) of positive ease in relation to your bust circumference. The fit is oversized. If you prefer a closer fit, you can choose a smaller size. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm (31.5-33.5 (33.5-35.5) 35.5-37.5 (37.5-39.5) 39.5-43.5 (43.5-47.5) 47.5-51 inches). The measurements of the finished sweater can be found on the front page. First, measure yourself to determine the size that best fits you before you begin knitting. If your bust circumference (or the widest part of your body) measures 90 cm (35.5 inches), you should choose size S. A sweater in size S has a bust circumference of 113 cm (44.5 inches) and would in this case have a positive ease of 23 cm (9 inches).
