Isager

The Danish company Isager has been supplying patterns and quality natural fiber yarns, known and loved by knitters around the world, since 1977. The yarns and patterns are sold in selected stores in Denmark and internationally. Isager's founder, Marianne Isager, and her daughter and co-owner of the company, Helga Isager, are behind a number of popular knitting books.

Isager's story began with designer Åse Lund Jensen (1920-1977), who founded her studio in 1960. Åse Lund Jensen's work was rooted in the Danish craft tradition, but she was particularly inspired by Icelandic and Faroese knitting culture. In cooperation with Henrichsen's Yarn Mill, Åse Lund Jensen produced a range of high-quality wool yarns, and her own favorites, Spinni and Jensen Yarn, are still part of the Isager range today.
