Valerie Blouse

The Valerie Blouse is worked in one piece from the top down. It is knitted like a cardigan with a slanted opening at the front, and the opening is closed with buttons at the end. The yoke is constructed with sleeve increases first, then raglan increases. The neckline is shaped with short rows. The sleeves are worked in the round on double-pointed needles or using the Magic Loop method.

First, knit a swatch to determine the needle size that works best for you. Wash the swatch, as the recommended yarn may grow when washed and worn.

The Valerie Blouse should have approximately -2 cm of negative ease relative to your bust circumference. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) are designed to fit a body bust circumference of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The measurements of the finished blouse can be found on the front page (please note that these measurements are only valid if the gauge is maintained). Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine the size that best fits you. If your bust circumference (or the widest part of your body) measures 90 cm, you should choose size S.
