Terrazzo Neck

The Terrazzo Neck is knitted from the back up to the shoulders and then down to the front. An opening is knitted for the head, from which stitches are then picked up for the turtleneck. The Terrazzo Neck is shaped like a square at the back and like a trapezoid at the front.

The Italian cast-on and Italian bind-off methods are used in the pattern.

First, knit a gauge swatch to determine the correct needle size for you. Wash the swatch before measuring it.

Sizes: XS/S (M/L)

Measurements: Length: 42 (45) cm (excluding turtleneck), Shoulder width: approx. 40 (42) cm

Gauge: 17 stitches x 24 rows in stockinette stitch on 4.5 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm after washing and blocking

20-22 stitches x 24 rows in rib stitch (1 twisted knit, 1 twisted purl) on 4.5 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm after washing and blocking (gauge for the turtleneck)

Recommended needles: Circular needles 4.5 mm (40 cm and 60 cm or 80 cm)

Material: 250 (250) g Peruvian Highland Wool by Filcolana (50 g = 100 m) together with 50-75 (75) g Silk Mohair by Isager Yarn (25 g = 212 m) or Tynn Silk Mohair by Sandnes Garn (25 g = 212 m) or Tilia by Filcolana (25 g = 212 m) or Brushed Lace by Mohair by Canard (25 g = 212 m)
