The Olga Sweater is worked from the top down with stripes. First, the upper back is worked in rows, and the shoulder slopes are shaped with short rows. Simultaneously, the sweater is knitted in a stripe pattern. Next, the shoulders are worked separately on a circular needle and then joined to the front. The front and back are then joined to form the body, which is knitted in rounds with stripes on a circular needle. The sleeves are made from picked-up stitches around the armholes. The collar is knitted last, with picked-up stitches and folded over twice.
