The Moby Slipover is worked top-down in a textured and cable pattern. First, the back is worked. Then, stitches are picked up for the shoulders, which are then joined at the front to form the front piece. The front and back pieces are placed on one needle below the armholes, forming the body, which is worked straight down. Finishes in ribbing are then worked around the armholes and at the neckline.
First, knit a swatch to determine which needle size you need to achieve the correct gauge – this can vary from yarn to yarn. Remember to wash your swatch before measuring, as the textured pattern can grow in the wash.
Size Guide
The Moby Slipover should have a positive ease of approx. 10-15 cm compared to your bust circumference. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL fit a body bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. The measurements of the finished slipover can be found on the front of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine the size that fits you best. If your bust circumference (or the widest part of your body) measures 90 cm, you should choose size S. A slipover in size S has a bust circumference of 102 cm and would, in this case, have a positive ease of 12 cm.
