The top is knitted from top to bottom with TYNN LINE.
First, stitches are cast on for the back piece, which is knitted back and forth with short rows to shape the shoulder slope, before knitting down to under the sleeves. Then, stitches are picked up along each shoulder for the left and right sides of the front piece. Stitches are cast on between the front pieces before the entire front piece is knitted back and forth down to under the sleeves. The front piece is then joined with the back piece, and the work is continued in the round until the desired total length. Stitches are picked up around each armhole for the sleeves. The sleeves are knitted in the round and finished with a larger needle to add some width. The neckline is knitted last.
