First, stitches are cast on for the back, where the right and left shoulders are shaped separately with short rows. The back is knitted up to under the sleeves. Then, stitches are picked up at the shoulders for the left and right front parts. The shoulders are shaped with short rows and stitches are cast on at the neck before each front part is knitted separately. The front and back parts are knitted together and worked back and forth until the front part is long enough for the zipper, before knitting in the round to the full length. Stitches are picked up around each armhole for the sleeves. The sleeves are knitted in the round to the full length and finished with a cuff. Finally, the neck edge is knitted back and forth in ribbing. Short rows are worked on the left and right sides of the neck edge so that it is higher at the front than at the back. It is folded inwards and worked back and forth with decreases over the front panels to follow the deeper neckline. Stitches are picked up along the sides of the front parts where the zipper is to be attached. The zipper is sewn on at the end.
