First, stitches are cast on for the round yoke, which is knitted back and forth to shape saddle shoulders and a deeper neckline in the front.
Then the work is joined in the round, and increases are knitted on the front and back sections. When the saddle shoulder is shaped, the front and back sections are knitted separately until under the sleeves. After that, the front and back sections are rejoined and knitted in the round to the full length.
Stitches are picked up around the armhole and also for the saddle shoulder. The sleeves are knitted with puff, before the sleeve is knitted in the round to the full length.
The neckline is knitted last.
