The LIMA socks are simple ribbed socks with a particularly beautiful heel construction. The perfect everyday socks, whether sporty with sneakers, casual with boots, or as cozy bed socks.
The socks are worked top-down with double-pointed needles. First, the cuff and leg are knitted in a rib pattern. Then the heel is worked, first the heel flap and gusset using increases, then the heel turn using short rows, and finally the heel cap with decreases. This is followed by the foot in a rib pattern (instep) and stockinette stitch (sole). The toe is worked as a classic wedge toe.
Techniques used: long-tail cast-on, rib stitch, increases and decreases with left and right lean, short rows (German Short Rows).
