The Friday Slipover V-neck is knitted from the top down in a broken rib pattern. First the back is worked, then the two shoulders, and finally the body. Ribbing is knitted along the V-neck and around the armholes. The ribbing at the neckline is knitted with decorative decreases in the center front.

First, knit a swatch before you start knitting the actual garment. Note that the broken rib pattern will stretch with washing/wearing. Therefore, you should expect the swatch to measure approximately 24-25 sts per 10 cm before washing/wearing, but 22 sts per 10 cm after washing/wearing. It is extremely important for the shoulder width and fit that the exact gauge is maintained. Therefore, wash your swatch before measuring.

The Friday Slipover V-neck should have approximately 6 cm of positive ease in relation to your bust circumference. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-50 cm. Measure yourself before you start knitting to ensure you choose the correct size for you. For example, if your bust circumference (or the widest part of your torso) measures 90 cm, you should choose size S, as the bust circumference for this size is 96 cm.
