The P1 Sweater is a simple turtleneck sweater with distinctive ribbed cuffs. A classic suitable for both women and men.

The sweater is knitted seamlessly from top to bottom. First, the turtleneck is knitted, then the neckline is shaped using short rows (worked back and forth). After that, it is knitted in the round, and increases are made for the body and sleeves. Once the raglan increases are complete, the work is divided, and the body and sleeves are finished separately. Both the sleeves and the body conclude with a wide ribbed cuff. Since the sweater is knitted from top to bottom, it is possible (and advisable) to try it on while knitting, allowing the length of the body as well as the sleeves to be individually adjusted.

Techniques used: German Short Rows, left and right leaning increases for purl and knit stitches.

The sweater should have a positive ease of about 10 cm to 20 cm. To find the right size, you should first measure your bust circumference. Depending on your preference, you can then decide whether the sweater should fit loosely and oversized, with a lot of positive ease, or a bit more form-fitting. Men, for example, tend to wear sweaters with less ease (approx. 10 cm). Sometimes it is advisable to measure a favorite sweater to find the appropriate size.

Circular needles 4.5 mm / 40 cm, 60 cm and 80-100 cm.

/ Gauge
Stockinette stitch with 4.5 mm needles: 18-19 sts x 27-28 rows = 10 x 10 cm, measured after washing.
Adjust needle size if necessary to match gauge.
