The Dagmar Sweater Man is worked in a textured pattern from top to bottom. First, the upper part of the back is worked. Then, the shoulders are created from stitches picked up from the top of the back. The body is knitted in the round on a circular needle. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up around the armholes and then worked in the round downwards. Finally, a ribbed band is worked on the neckline.
First, knit a swatch to determine the correct needle size for you. Please make the swatch following the diagram in the instructions.
Size Guide
The Dagmar Sweater Man should have a positive ease of approx. 20 cm relative to your bust circumference. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a body bust circumference of 86-91 (91-96) 96-101 (101-107) 107-113 (113-119) 119-124 (124-132) 132-144 cm. The measurements of the finished sweater can be found on the title page. First, measure yourself before you start knitting to determine the size that fits you best. If your bust circumference (or the widest point of your body) measures 105 cm, you should choose size L. A sweater in size L has a bust circumference of 125 cm and would in this case have a positive ease of 20 cm.
