The Dagmar Sweater is worked in a textured pattern from top to bottom. First, the upper part of the back is worked with increases. Then, the shoulders are created by picking up stitches from the top of the back. The body is worked in the round on a circular needle. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up around the armholes and then worked in the round downwards. Finally, a ribbed band is worked at the neckline.
First, knit a swatch to determine the correct needle size for you. Feel free to knit the swatch following the diagram in the instructions.
Size Guide
The Dagmar Sweater is designed to have approximately 26 cm of positive ease for smaller sizes, with a gradually smaller positive ease for larger sizes. Sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a bust circumference of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The measurements of the finished sweater can be found on the title page. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine the size that best fits you. If your bust circumference (or the widest part of your body) measures 90 cm, you should choose size S, as this has a bust circumference of 116 cm and the positive ease in the given example is 26 cm.
