The CÉCILE Top is an airy, lightweight summer top with a wide rib pattern that looks great not only on its own but also in combination with blouses and blazers… for those who prefer a more “dressed-up” look.

The top is knitted from the top down, so the length can be adjusted individually. The front and back pieces are knitted in rows until the armholes end, first the back, then the front is attached directly. The body is worked in the 10/10 or 12/12 rib pattern in the round. The top is close-fitting, but due to the rib pattern, it appears somewhat narrower unworn and unstretched than the stated bust circumference. I am 1.76 m tall and have a bust circumference of 88 cm, and I am wearing size S here.

Techniques used: Provisional cast-on, increases with left and right lean for knit and purl stitches.

The instructions are very detailed, as the sizes are sometimes listed individually. A small tip for handling: simply highlight all information for the corresponding size and, if necessary, print only the relevant pages to avoid losing track.

Due to the rib pattern, the top is close-fitting, so no ease is included. For example, if you have a bust circumference of 92 cm, you should knit size M.

Circular needle 3.0 mm (80-100 cm)

Stockinette stitch in rounds with needle 3.0 mm: 25 sts x 34 - 35 rows = 10 x 10 cm (washed, unstretched),

To adjust the gauge, choose a different needle size if necessary.
