The Sonja Sweater has a casual look with dropped shoulders.
Here, a virgin wool yarn is knitted with a companion thread of 100% alpaca yarn. This gives it a beautiful vibrancy.
The Sonja Sweater is worked flat in stockinette stitch from top to bottom. First, the upper part of the back is worked, then stitches are picked up along its cast-on edge for the shoulders. The shoulders are shaped with short rows. The front and back are joined in the round below the armholes, and the body is knitted in the round on a circular needle. Finally, stitches are picked up around the neckline and a ribbing is created, which is then knitted onto the inside. The Sonja Sweater does not require any seaming.
