The Weekend Slipover V-neck is worked from the top down. First, the upper back is worked flat, with the shoulders shaped using short rows. Then, the fronts are worked, shaping the V-neck simultaneously. Afterward, the front and back pieces are joined on a circular needle for the body, which is worked in the round. The ribbed edgings at the neck and armholes are worked last, with the latter being worked with decreases.
Size guide
The Weekend Slipover V-neck is designed to have approximately 15-20 cm (6-8 inches) of positive ease compared to your bust measurement. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm (31.5-33.5 (33.5-35.5) 35.5-37.5 (37.5-39.5) 39.5-43.25 (43.25-47.25) 47.25-51.25 (51.25-55) 55-59 inches). The measurements of the finished slipover can be found on the front page. Before you begin knitting, measure yourself to determine the size that fits you best. If your bust circumference (or the widest part of your body) is 90 cm (35.5 inches), you should choose size S. A slipover in size S has a bust circumference of 108 cm (42.5 inches) and would have 18 cm (7 inches) of positive ease in this case.
The model pictured is wearing size XS with a bust circumference of 82 cm (32.25 inches) and a height of 1.64 m (5’4”).
