The Oslo Sweater is worked from the top down. First, the back is worked flat on a circular needle, initially with increases on both sides and then straight down. Then, stitches are picked up for the shoulders. These are worked separately before being joined onto one needle for the front. The front and back are joined under the armholes to form the body, which is then worked in the round with decreases on a circular needle. Sleeves and neckband are worked last from picked-up stitches.
Size Guide
The Oslo Sweater is designed to have approximately 20-25 cm (8-10 inches) of positive ease compared to your bust circumference. The fit is oversized. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL correspond to a bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 cm (31½-33½ (33½-35½) 35½-37½ (37½-39½) 39½-43¼ (43¼-47¼) 47¼-51¼ inches). The measurements of the finished sweater are on the front page. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine the size that fits you best. If your bust circumference (or the widest part of your body) measures 88 cm (34¾ inches), you should choose size S. A size S sweater has a bust circumference of 110 cm (43¼ inches) and would have a positive ease of 22 cm (8¾ inches) in this case.
