The Baggy Beanie is a simple beanie with a relaxed fit at the back of the head and a rolled brim at the bottom. The beanie is worked in the round from the bottom up and ends at the top with decreases worked on double-pointed needles. The beanie stretches when worn (if the specified yarn or a similar yarn is used) to a gauge of approx. 17-18 stitches per 10 cm – this has been taken into account for the fit. The length of the beanie can be adjusted to the desired look. The top of the beanie with decreases measures 5-6 cm.
Measure your head circumference to determine the right size for you. As a starting point, the smallest size is designed for children, while the two larger sizes fit adults.
First, knit a gauge swatch to determine the right needle size for you before you start knitting the actual project.
Make a gauge swatch to make sure you obtain the right gauge before you start.
