The Moby Sweater Man is worked top-down in a textured and cable pattern. The back is worked first with short rows to shape the shoulder slopes. Then, stitches are picked up for the shoulders, which are then joined at the front to form the front piece. The front and back pieces are placed on one needle below the armholes, forming the body, which is worked straight down. The sleeves are worked in the round using double-pointed needles or the Magic Loop method. The neckband is folded double at the end and knitted on the inside.
First, knit a swatch to determine the correct needle size for you - please note that this can vary from yarn to yarn. Wash your swatch before measuring, as the textured pattern can grow with washing.
Size Guide
The Moby Sweater Man should have a positive ease of approx. 10-15 cm in relation to your bust circumference. Sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL fit a body bust circumference of 86-91 (91-96) 96-101 (101-107) 107-113 (113-119) 119-124 (124-132) 132-144 cm. The measurements of the finished sweater can be found on the front of this pattern. Measure yourself before you start knitting to determine the size that fits you best. For example, if your bust circumference (or the widest part of your body) is 103 cm, you should choose size L. A sweater in size L has a bust circumference of 118 cm and would in this case have a positive ease of 15 cm.
