The Ingrid Sweater is worked top-down in a textured pattern. First, the back is worked with short rows to shape the shoulder slopes. Then, stitches are picked up for the shoulders, which are also worked with short rows to shape the shoulder slopes. The shoulders are joined at the front to form the front piece. The front and back pieces are placed on one needle under the armholes to form the body, which is then worked straight down. The sleeves are worked in the round from picked-up stitches around the armholes. The Ingrid Sweater is worked in a textured pattern consisting of three different pattern segments. A section with a lace pattern is knitted between each of these segments.
