The Friday Slipover is worked from the top down in broken rib stitch. First, the back is worked, then the shoulders and front, and finally the body. Edgings are worked along the neckline and around the armholes.
Knit a swatch before you begin knitting. Please note that the broken rib stitch will stretch with washing/wear. Therefore, you should expect the gauge to be approx. 24-25 stitches per 10 cm before washing/wearing, but 22 stitches per 10 cm after washing/wearing. It is extremely important that the exact gauge is maintained for the shoulder width and fit. Therefore, wash your swatch before measuring.
