Seeknit - The oldest manufacturer of bamboo knitting needles in Japan

Knitting needles made of bamboo have long been a favorite among knitters all over the world. Unlike any other material, the strong, durable fibers in bamboo make the needles light and flexible. Bamboo grown in Japan is particularly hard and resilient, strengthened by fibers called fibrovascular bundles, giving it an excellent sheen. At Kinki Amibari, we only use carefully selected naturalized "Moso bamboo" grown in Japan.

Bamboo is a renewable resource because it grows extremely quickly. The use of bamboo means a very low impact on the environment, and using the wood influences of bamboo for products such as knitting needles means that more space is given to protect our forests. One of the reasons people have preferred bamboo over the years is that it is "natural and environmentally friendly."
