Vollan Sweater von Sandnes Garn

Vollan Sweater by Sandnes Garn

Idunn & Sofie Vollan – Norwegian twin sisters who quickly gained international attention through collaborations with luxury brands such as Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana and Louis Vuitton – have now teamed up with Sandnes Garn.

For over a year, they have been working side by side – from the first sketches and yarn tests to the last stitch. The result is the Vollan Sweater: a unique blend of slow fashion and trend, heritage and modernity, personality and timelessness. Made from our soft, sustainable yarns Børstet Alpakka and Tynn Silk Mohair. The colors are freely selectable, knitted with needle 4.5.

This is a sweater that can be worn anywhere - as naturally on the streets of New York as by the fireplace in a mountain cabin in Norway.

Pattern available from us with yarn

For Idunn and Sofie, the project is also very personal. They grew up with grandmothers who not only knitted for them but also passed on their love of craftsmanship. That's why the sweaters are named after their grandmothers:

– Liv, with flowing trumpet sleeves

The LIV EDITION sweater is an elegant and versatile design, knitted top-down in Børstet Alpakka and Tynn Silk Mohair. The raglan yoke and shaped neckline ensure a good fit, while the playful trumpet sleeves give the sweater its unique silhouette. The Liv sweater with a ribbed neckline combines timeless style with a touch of fun - a piece that is as beautiful for everyday wear as for festive occasions.

– Anne Marie, with classic straight sleeves

The ANNE MARIE EDITION sweater is a timeless, slim-fit design with feminine details. It is knitted top-down in Børstet Alpakka and Tynn Silk Mohair, giving it an elegant drape with raglan increases and long ribbed edges. The straight sleeves and contrasting ribbed details create a look that is both classic and modern. With a clean ribbed neckline and a negative ease of 0–5 cm, the Anne Marie sweater pairs perfectly with jeans for everyday wear or a skirt for special occasions.

A tribute across generations, created in Norway - and made for knitters all over the world.
